Oyado Furuya Hotel in Myoko Kogen is an upmarket Japanese style hotel located on the main street of Akakura Onsen close to all amenities and Akakura restaurants. It is only a 5-minute walk from Akakura Onsen Ski Resort and Akakura Kanko Ski Resort as well as to the various amenities in the village. There are both Japanese and Western style rooms available at Oyado Furuya Myoko, with a limited number of deluxe rooms that feature a private onsen and a view of the village and mountains. The in-house onsen is one of the most luxurious in Myoko Kogen. Furuya has a number of hot baths including a traditional and rare tatami-buro (tatami bath), a semi outdoor bathtub commanding views of Mt. Myoko and an outdoor bathtub ofthe ‘ishi-no-yu’(stony- bathroom). The hotel also has a dry room with ski equipment storage, a restaurant and free wifi. Each room has magnificent views of Myoko Mountains and come with a TV, a safety deposit box and an electric kettle with green tea bags. Japanese yukata robes and slippers are provided for all guests. An in house restaurant at Furuya Hotel provides traditional homemade Japanese dishes cooked with local ingredients.
