Only a 7 minute walk to Akakura Onsen Ski Area (see map) or a 4 minute shuttle to Akakan (Akakura Kanko) Ski Area Hotel Taiko features indoor and outdoor public hot spring baths, massages and a sauna. The Japanese-style rooms at Hotel Taiko offer majestic mountain views. WiFi is available in public areas and is free of charge. Ski equipment rentals are available and ski lift tickets are sold at a discount.
Air conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) flooring, an en suite bathroom and a flat-screen TV. An electric kettle, a refrigerator and a safety deposit box can also be located. Non-smoking rooms, facilities for disabled guests and family rooms are available.
This Myoko hotel has a natural onsen with the view from the large tenbo open air bath especially breathtaking. Guests can enjoy Mt. Myoko views from the outdoor hot spring baths, get a relaxing massage or purchase souvenirs at the gift shop. Drinks vending machines, lockers and barbecue facilities can be found on site as well.
A traditional Kaiseki-style meal featuring local, seasonal produce is served for dinner, while a buffet of western and Japanese dishes is available for breakfast. Special diet menus are available (on request).
