Hakuba Snow Report: Skiing above the clouds

One of those amazing days this morning. Looking up from the valley it was a very overcast but various runs such as Usagidaira area on Happo-one provided a bluebird day above the sea of clouds. The mist/clouds disappeared over the day and there were some patches of blue sky to enjoy.

Happo-one – above the sea of clouds.

Nice firm snow with just a dash of extra snow on the top (maybe 3cm). Still some soft snow to be found around the edges but bumps and moguls beginning to form on some areas.

A few various championships coming up in early March so keep an eye out.
